The lighting brief for this 2-storey dwelling required a cost conscious solution, which enhanced the drama of the architectural interior spaces.
Predominantly white, the space is highlighted with spotted gum timber, polished concrete floors tinged with bluestone aggregate and black window frames and blinds. Using recessed stairlights and downlights and track spotlights, the lighting solution mirrors the restrained colour paleltte, while at the same time emphasizing these accents.
All of these lights are LEDs to meet the sustainable aspirations of the owner/architect.
The restrained lighting solution is only interrupted by a large sphere pendant. This unique piece of contemporary lighting creates a more dominant focal point in the void, which is the central hub of the house.
